FREE Global Film Series

This Thursday, June 12th starting at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30), the Seattle Central Library is showing the first in a series of “unique and critically acclaimed cinematic works from around the world” for FREE! The Global Lens film series is not just happening here in Seattle; it is occurring in 35 cities across the country and was started by the MOMA in New York City in 2003.

The film is a Serbian-Croatian unflinching comedy that is based on real events (the movie and below trailer are not rated and contain offensive words and language):

In exchange for some wedding-planning expertise, a macho Serbian crime boss recruits a ragtag group of Balkan war-buddies to provide protection for a Pride march in this rollicking yet poignant comedy…
