EPIC Staged Adventure of Kavalier and Clay

Book It Repertory Theater is undertaking an AMAZING feat of theater by staging the book The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Cabon. On Sunday, June 8th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., the pay-what-you-can preview will include not one but TWO intermissions and a 40 min dinner break (approx. 5 hours in total). Book It Theater’s website gives a brief description:

In 1939 Joe Kavalier smuggles himself, Houdini-style, out of Nazi-occupied Prague and reappears in New York to live with his cousin, Sammy Clay. It’s the golden age of comic books and the ambitious pair—the storyteller and the artist—invent the perfect superhero for America on the brink of the Second World War. Chabon’s tale of escape, transformation, magic, and moxie is a modern-day epic.

*The performance will be held in the Seattle Center Theatre.
