This Tuesday, April 8th, there are TWO great opportunities to check out music with a little twist….
OPTION #1 Opera on Tap
Do you think that opera is a stuffy or elitist art? Opera on Tap is trying to change that view by bringing this art form to Seattle bars. Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
OPTION #2 The Round #107
Fremont Abbey hosts this unique event which has been held in Portland, Austin, and other locations across the country. It has been here in Seattle for quite some time now. This particular evening of music and art is explained best on the Brown Paper Ticket website for the show…
Three songwriters share the stage together
With slam poets and live painters/visual artists
Joined by a mix of improv backing musicians
For a relaxed evening of unique collaboration
The show is ALL AGES and the content is PG13. It is general admission and mostly seated but there is some standing room. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show runs from 8 p.m.-10:15 p.m. $8 advance or $10 at the door (cash or credit)
