Each spring behind Hale’s Brewery in a converted warehouse, a vaudevillian troupe of performers sets up shop for about a month. It is thoughtfully (or not so thoughtfully) named the Moisture Festival after the tendency for Seattle’s springtime to include precipitation.
It is the world’s largest comedy/variete festival which includes aerialists, jugglers, comedians, dancers, rope acts, bubble acts, clowns, acrobats, can can girls, strong women, strong men, tap dancers, drill teams, musical numbers…basically an awe inspiring, glee inducing night of magic created right before your eyes!
Although the admission is approx. $20 for adults, it is WELL WORTH the money spent to keep this type of entertainment alive (Cirque de Soleil or Teatro Zinzanni is over $100/person)! In addition to the comedy/variety show, there are also other events at other venues during the festival. Click below link for the calendar to see what is happening when!
