Built in 1907, The Moore is the oldest operating theatre in Seattle and as much a part of Seattle’s history as the Denny Regrade, salmon runs and Starbucks. History has been made at The Moore and the future is about to get brighter. This past summer, Seattle Theater Group closed the theater to do much needed repairs including replacing the aging seats and repainting the interior. The finished product is stunning and you have an opportunity to check it out for FREE this Saturday, Feb. 8th at 10 a.m. when STG offers a THEATER TOUR led by one of their many volunteers. The tour lasts about an hour or so. Just meet in the theater lobby. If this Saturday does not work, the tour happens each month on the second Saturday.
Below is a video used to give a bit of perspective to the historical theater while money was being raised for the renovations.
