This Tuesday, take “a roundabout route or detour” in a full-length, re-envisioned production of Jesus’ Son by Denis Johnson put on by Book It Theater who produces book adaptations on stages around Seattle. This particular production is part of their newest venture called Circumbendibus which is part variety show, part site-specific theatre, all parts DARING where actors performs bold new adaptations of everything from books to blogs, poetry to twitter posts.
The book being adapted this time around, Jesus’ Son, has been hailed as one of the best American books of the 20th century. It chronicles dreamers, addicts, and lost souls.
